- Writing and Midrash with poet Dan Bellm This workshop will combine study of the week's Torah portion with some practice in developing and writing our own midrashim (commentaries, interpretations, stories) in response to it. Writers and "non-writers" of all levels of experience are welcome, as are all forms, whether in poetry or prose.

You are invited to Beth El’s first retreat in many years. This is an opportunity for all members of our community to gather for a weekend of Shabbat celebration, learning, community and relaxation.

The weekend schedule offers separate activities for adults and kids as well as activities for families. People of all ages will enjoy organized activities, find their own adventures or kick back and relax, getting to spend time with other Beth El folks.
Walker Creek Ranch is a beautiful camp setting, one hour and 15 minutes north of Berkeley in West Marin. Located on 1700 acres of rolling hills, the land is blessed with 20 miles of hiking trails, Bay Laurel Forests, open grassland and clear water flowing in Walker Creek all year long.

Camping
Bring your sleeping bags, tents and enjoy the beautiful outdoor surroundings. Campers use the central bathhouse.
Economy Cabins
These dormitory style cabins are equipped with solid wood frame bunk beds and are carpeted and heated. Bring your own bedding (sheets, sleeping bats, pillows, towels).
Semi-Private Lodges
Two to five beds per room. Linens are provided, and restrooms are down the hall.
Private Lodging
Private rooms (1 person per room) in the semi-private lodges may be reserved for an additional fee, based on space available. Rooms do not have private restrooms.

Reserve your space by March 25th to ensure we can arrange enough rooms for everyone. Only a deposit is required at this time. You will be invoiced for the balance to be paid by April 25th. Lodging requests changes will be accepted until April 25th.
