Join us for a 4 part learning series exploring the following themes below. This series is for both those individuals who are interested in leading Shiva Minyanim in the future, and those who are just interested in learning more!

Wednesday, October 30th: Exploring the Ma’ariv (Evening Service) liturgy – Led by Rabbi Ira, we will explore the liturgy that makes up the Ma’ariv (evening) service, and discuss how to cater a service to specific families and individuals in need.

Thursday, November 7th: Melodies of the Ma’ariv Service **in-person only** – Led by Cantor Elaya, we will sing through and learn, step by step, the different melodies that make up the Ma’ariv (evening) service. **Please note, this session will be in-person only, as the focus of this session will be learning how to sing the melodies of the Ma’ariv service.**

Thursday, November 14th: Mourning in Minyan – Led by Rabbi Bekah, we will learn how to hold communal space for those in mourning, drawing on text and offering practical tools for facilitation of a shiva minyan gathering.

Thursday, November 21st: Supporting the Mourners – led by Beth El’s Chevrah Kadisha and Sinai Memorial Chapel, we will explore how we, as individuals, and community, can offer support for those who are in mourning.
