Join your Beth El community for a joyful, reflective, and rejuvenating weekend away in the beautiful hills of Santa Rosa at URJ Camp Newman. Our annual Shabbaton will be May 19th-21st starting at 4:00 pm on Friday, going through lunch on Sunday.

This is a special time each year when Beth El community members of all ages step back from daily life and come together for a weekend of fun, refocusing and celebration. We will journey this year to the beautiful URJ Camp Newman, where we will be renewing, reclaiming and revitalizing. Our community will celebrate Shabbat through a program that includes activities for kids, families, and adults attending without children; communal meals; and Jewish celebration and learning. Throughout the weekend expect engaging learning sessions, swimming, nature walks, meaningful Shabbat celebration, camp-style song session, schmoozing, performing skits and more! 

We're so glad you can join us for this meaningful community experience! 

Three meals of family-friendly food are served each day. We are able to accommodate most allergy needs and dietary restrictions with advance notice.

Shabbaton Cancellation Policies:

• If you cancel more than 30 days prior to the Shabbaton (April 19th or before) you will receive a full refund. 
• If you cancel less than 30 days before the Shabbaton (after April 19th) there is no refund available. 

Payment is required before registration is complete. Your space is not reserved and you are not registered for the Shabbaton until you have paid in full. We do not want cost to be a barrier to you attending the Shabbaton! Please reach out to Alana 510-848-3988 ext. 210 for scholarship needs. 

Registration will close on Sunday, April 9th.  We will not be accepting any sign-ups after this date.

Registration & Housing Options:

Pricing for the Shabbaton is based on whether you have semi-private housing or shared housing.  Some of the semi-private housing has en suite bathrooms. All semi-private housing have a kitchen and community room.  The economy cabins are shared cabins where each family will have a section of a shared cabin with access to a bathhouse.  A single room is a private room with either an en suite bathroom or a shared bathroom.

• Shared Cabin Suites (Adult-only female-identifying, male-identifying, and all-gendered options available upon request)
• Apartment Style Housing
• Motel Style Housing (two twin beds)
• Motel Style Housing (two twin bunk beds)

Private Half Cabin Suites (Fully Booked)

The Private Half Cabin option is a half cabin suite. Each suite includes 4 sets of bunk beds in 1 room with a private bathroom. These suites can accommodate up to 8 people and will only house the people you are signing up with. 

• Adult (18+): $375/person
• Child  (3 years old to 17 years old): $185/person
• Under 2, no charge (Just let us know they're coming!)

Shared Cabin Suites (Fully Booked)

The Shared Cabin option is a half cabin suite. Each suite includes 4 sets of bunk beds in 1 room with a private bathroom. These suites can accommodate up to 8 individuals.  If you would like to share a half cabin suite with specific participants outside of your family unit, please share that information and we will do our best to accommodate your request.

• Adult (18+): $325/person
• Child  (3 years old to 17 years old): $160/person
• Under 2, no charge (Just let us know they're coming!)

Apartment Style Housing (Fully Booked)

An apartment is a two-room cabin that sleeps four (room 1 - queen bed, room 2 - one bunk bed), as well as a shared kitchenette, bathroom, and sitting area for the unit. 

• Adult (18+): $385/person
• Child (3 years old to 17 years old): $190/person 
• Under 2, no charge (Just let us know they're coming!)

Motel Style Housing (2 twin beds) (Fully Booked)

One private room with 2 twin size beds and a private bathroom (sleeps two) 

• Adult (18+): $350/person
• Child (3 years old to 17 years old): $175/person 
• Under 2, no charge (Just let us know they're coming!)

Motel Style Housing (2 twin bunk beds) (Fully Booked)

One private room with 2 twin size bunk beds and a private bathroom (sleeps four)

Day Pass (Saturday Only)

Join us for Shabbat day at the Shabbaton! We are excited to offer a “day pass” option. Stay for the entire day on Saturday. This pass includes 3 meals and the full day/evening of Saturday programming.

• $80 for adults 
• $65 for kids (3-12)
• Under 2, no charge (Just let us know they're coming!)
