VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITIES
VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITIES
Your presence and participation elevate our communal observance of this sacred season. Please consider signing up for the following volunteer opportunities. Please note that some volunteer opportunities require in-person participation and cannot be performed remotely.
- Ark Opener
During the service, opening and closing the doors of the Aron Kodesh [Torah cabinet], revealing the Torah for all to see. - Ba'al(at) Tekiah (Shofar Sounder)
- Preparing our Yom Kippur Break Fast
Gather together to help cook and prepare the communal Yom Kippur Break Fast. No experience necessary!
- Open Sukkah Hosts
A walking/biking/get-there-any-way-you-can celebration, from sukkah to sukkah, as Beth El members share their backyards, and individual sukkah style, with the rest of us. - Reader (English)
Read a pre-selected poem or English translation during a service. For services in the Sanctuary, readers can also participate remotely, on Zoom. Readers at services in the Founders Grove must be present in person. Readings may be divided among more than one person, if you’d like. - Torah or Haftarah Reader
Torah and Haftarah readers/chanters can participate either in person in the Sanctuary or remotely, on Zoom. - Ushers & Greeters
It’s a fun, easy and wonderful way to both meet and serve your Beth El community.
